a) First, we have to look at the level of correlation between this two variables. This would give us information about how strong is this relation. This can be studied with the coefficient of determination r².

The title is assuming causality between the sugar consumption and happiness and, although there may be a correlation as shown in the graph, it may not be a direct cause and effect.

b) A better headline is "Study shows that people which consume more sugar are less happy".
