Question 1: The measure of the radius is the height h of the parallelogram.

Answer: h = r = 9 cm

Question 2: The measure of the distance across the base is the beast approximate base of the parallelogram.

Answer: b = 28.5 cm

Question 3: Calculate 3 times the radius.

Answer: 3 x radius (r) = 3 x 9 = 27 cm

Question 4: What is the mathematical difference between b and 3r? Calculate the absolute value of the two values.

Answer: Ib - 3rI = 28.5 - 3(9) = 28.5 - 27 = 1.5 cm

Question 5: Calculate the area of the parallelogram.

Answer: A = 3r² = 3(9) = 3(81) = 243 cm²

Question 6: Calculate the area of the circle.

Answer: A = πr² = (3.14)(9)² = (3.14)(81) = 254.34 cm²
