Answer: B, C, E, and F

To create a triangle, the sum of the two shorter sides should be greater than the third side.

Let's say 9 is the longest side, then the third side would be greater than


9-7=2

If we let the third side be the longest side, then its length would be less than


9+7=16

Therefore the values that we are looking for are values greater than 2 but are less than 16 (2 < x < 16) and from the choices, these are 10, 8, 5, and 13.
