This means their percentile ranking is:

The women's team finished 3 out of 34, so their percentile ranking is:

`(3)/(34)=8.8\%`

The women's team had a higher percentile ranking because they were in the 8.8% first percentile position while the men's team had a lower ranking because they ended up in the 14% position.

b. If we had the score of each game, we can calculate the mean by dividing the sum of the points by the number of games.

The median will be found by sorting the scores from least to greatest and picking the score located a the central position.
