Out of the 150 students in the sixth grade, you know that 20% received an A on the math test.

To know how many students received an A you have to calculate the 20% from 150.

To do so multiply it by 20 and divide it by 100:

\begin{gathered} x=(150\cdot20)/(100) \\ x=30 \end{gathered}

30 students received an A in the math test.
