Apply the formula of Average rate of change:

((f(b)-f(a))/(b-a)

b=7

a=-3

f(b) = F(7) = 5(7)-7 = 35-7 = 28

f(a) = f(-3) = 5(-3) -7 = -15-7 = -22

Replacing:

(28-(-22))/(7-(-3))=(28+22)/(7+3)=(50)/(10)\text{ = 5}
