Solve by square root;

(3x-2)^2=-12

We start by taking the square root of both sides, and we'll have;

\sqrt[]{(3x-2)^2}=\pm\sqrt[]{-12}

Note that the square root sign cancels out the square sign on the left side.

3x-2=\pm\sqrt[]{-12}

The square root of negative 12 can be splitup into the following;

undefined
