Total cost is $160.

Given:

A gallon of paint covers 350 square feet.

Length of the rectangular wall is, l = 24 feet.

Width of the wall is w = 9 feet.

Total number of wall to be coated is, n = 2.

Cost of one gallon of paint is, c = $32.

The obective is to find the total cost of the paint required to put coats on each wall.

First let's find the total area of paint required to cover all the 4 walls with 2 coats.

The area of one wall is,

\begin{gathered} A_1=l* b \\ =24*9 \\ =216\text{ f}eet^2 \end{gathered}

Since it has to coated twice, the area will be,

\begin{gathered} A_1=2*216\text{ fe}et^2 \\ =432\text{ fe}et^2 \end{gathered}

Then, the total area of 4 walls will be,

\begin{gathered} A_T=4* A_1 \\ =4*432\text{ fe}et^2 \\ =1728\text{ fe}et^2 \end{gathered}

Since it is given that, one gallon of paint covers 350 square feet of paint.

Then, the gallon of paint required to cover all the four walls will be,

\begin{gathered} x=(1728)/(350) \\ x=4.9 \\ x\approx5\text{ gallon} \end{gathered}

If one gallon costs $32, then 5 gallon will be,

\begin{gathered} C_T=5*32 \\ =160 \end{gathered}

Hence, the cost of covering all the 4 walls with 2 coated is $160.
