Solving the equation,

$\begin{gathered} 7x-6=218 \\ \rightarrow7x=218+6\rightarrow7x=224 \\ \\ \rightarrow x=(224)/(7)\Rightarrow x=32 \end{gathered}$

Therefore, we can conclude that the last step is dividing each side of the equation by 7
