Burning natural gas contribute to the global warming. Natural gas is a fossil fuel, burning this fuel emits carbon dioxide to the environment. Burning of natuaral gas results in fewer gas emmisions compared to other air pollutants. Natural gas is mainly methane, methane is a strong greenhouse gas. The emission of these gases contribute to the carbon cycle, which is a natures way of recycling carbon atoms. When humans burn natural gas, more carbon is deposited to the atmophere in a form of carbon dioxide (CO2), this makes it hard for the carbon atoms to be properly recycled. Which then lead to global warming and climate change. Changes that put carbon gases into the atmosphere result in warmer temperatures on Earth.
