We want to know the number of solutions for the system:


\begin{gathered} y=4x+2 \\ y=4x-3 \end{gathered}

For doing so, we see that both lines have the same slope: 4 (the number at the side of the letter x). This means that the lines are parallel, and thus, they never intersect.

This means that the system has no solution, as the lines are parallel.
