We have to solve the following equation for x:

(x+2y)/(2)=6+z

We multiply by 2, by the multiplication property of equality:

2\cdot(x+2y)/(2)=2\cdot(6+z)

This equation is equivalent to:

x+2y=2\cdot(6+z)

By the distributive property we have that:

x+2y=12+2z

And by the subtraction property of equality we get:

x+2y-2y=12+2z-2y

This is equivalent to:

x=12+2z-2y

And re-using the distributive property we obtain:

x=2(6+z-y)
