The distance that she ran on Monday is 4 1/5 miles. Converting to improper fraction, it becomes

21/5 miles

The distance that she ran on Tuesday is x miles.

the total distance that she ran on both days is 7 1/2 miles. Converting to improper fraction, it becomes

15/2 miles

Therefore, the equation showing the number of miles, x, that Danielle ran on Tuesday is

4 1/5 + x = 7 1/2

21/5 + x = 15/2

x = 15/2 - 21/5 = 33/10

Converting to mixed fraction, x = 3 3/10 miles

The correct option is A
