Use the properties of real numbers to simplify the expression:

4(p-7p+3)

Add like terms inside the parenthesis:

=4(-6p+3)

Use the distributive property to eliminate the parenthesis:

\begin{gathered} =4(-6p)+4(3) \\ =-24p+12 \end{gathered}

This expression is fully simplified. But it can be factorized by the common factor of 12 (using the distributive property again):

\begin{gathered} -24p+12=12(-2p)+12(1) \\ =12(-2p+1) \end{gathered}
