4^2x4^{k\text{ + 2}}x4^k=4^{2\text{ + k + 2 + k}}=4^{4\text{ + 2k}}

To solve this problem, you must follow the rule of the exponents,

The rule states that when the base is the same (4) , just sum the exponents.

In this example, the base is four, so I kept 4 and just sum the exponents.
