Some marine organisms have many strategies to use the tides in the everyday, some of these strategies are:

- being covered with thick slime;

- moving with the tides (low or high);

- borrowing in the sand;

- clamming up;

- clamping down onto a rock;

- shutting their shells.

The low tide make the marine organism deal with potencial water loss, principally in climates with hot and windy days. The potencial water loss is the more clear difficult of the low tide and the one that needs more methods for make possible to live in the marine environment without losing water (dehydrate).

Exist a lot of marine animals in the intertidal zone (the name of the tide region in the coast area), those must be able to survive waves and daily dry periods with some of the strategies written above (focus in the low tide).
