Does (–12, 99) make the equation y = –9x − 9 true?

y=-9x-9

The coordinate is given (–12, 99) , substitute in the equation to check it is satisfy or not.


y=-9(-12)-9
y=108-9=99

which is equal to y values 99.

Hence the point given is satisfy the given equation.
