we have

6 magic markers yellow

4 purple

total markers = 6 + 4 = 10

therefore:

first purple


(4)/(10)=(2)/(5)

second purple


(4-1)/(10-1)=(3)/(9)=(1)/(3)

then:


(2)/(5)+(1)/(3)=(11)/(15)
