*Punnet square is a chart that is used to determine the percentage of the different genotypes in the offspring of two parents.

*Dominant allele controlled the trait that is represented by a capital letter. In this case, it is the letter H- purple flowers. Only one allele is required to observe a dominant trait and it masked the recessive allele represented by small letter h- white flowers. In the case of heterozygous genotype such as Hh- it will mask the h allele (recessive). For the recessive trait to be expressed, it needs the presence of two alleles hh.
