The formula to find the slope of a line that goes through any two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂,y₂) is

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)_{}

In our case:

m=(2-(-14))/(-18-(-23))=(2+14)/(-18+23)=(16)/(5)=3.2
