We know that in 2016 there were about 46,500 cinema screens in a country.

And we also know that 31.1% of the total screens were digital 3-D screens.

In order to find the approximate number of digital 3-D screens we must calculate 31.1% of 46,500

To calculate it we must multiply 46,500 by 31.1%

We must use that 31.1% = 0.311

So, we have

46500\cdot0.311=14461.5

Then, rounding the result to a whole number becase they are cinema screens we obtain that approximately 14462 cinema screens were digital 3-D screens
