one angle in a par of supplementary angles has value of 2x. the other angle is 30° less than two times the first angle

Remember that

the sum of supplemenatry angles is 180 degrees

sp

in this problem

one angle=2x

other angle=2(2x)-30=4x-30

therefore

2x+(4x-30)=180

solve for x

6x=180+30

6x=210

x=35

so

one angle is 2(35)=70 degrees

and the other angle is 110 degrees
