According to the graph we have:

Domain are the values of x. We can see that the graph extends horizontally from -5 to 3, but -5 and 3 are not included. Then, the domain is

(-5,3)

Range are the values of y. Therefore, we see that the graph extends vertically from 4 to -3, so the range is:

(-3,4)

Answer:

a. domain = (-5, 3)

b. range = (-3, 4)
