Given three consecutive even Integers, find the smaller number of three times the largest plus the smallest is equal to six times the middle number minus sixteen.

let the integers be represented by x, y and z

let's write out equations from the algebraic statement given.

1. the largest number plus the smallest number is equal to 6 times the middle number minus sixteen

largest = x

middle number = y

smallest = z


x+z=6y-16
