To solve a 2-step equation we need

-First to separate the term that has the variable and the independent term on different sides of the equality.

-Second, divide both sides by the coefficient of the term with the variable.

Example:

\begin{gathered} 3x-6=0 \\ 3x=6 \\ x=(6)/(3) \\ x=2 \end{gathered}
