Given the set:

S=\mleft\lbrace x|x\text{ is an odd, negative integer and }x>-14\mright\rbrace

The set of odd, negative integers is:

\mleft\lbrace-1,-3,-5,-7,-9,\ldots\mright\rbrace

This set is infinite, but if we include an additional condition (x > -14), we obtain:

S=\lbrace-1,-3,-5,-7,-9,-11,-13\rbrace

The total numbers of subsets of a set with n elements are given by the equation:

\#=2^n

Which includes the empty set. We know that S has 7 elements, then:

\#=2^7=128
