\begin{gathered} (1)/(2)x+6y=12\ldots\ldots\text{.(i)} \\ \\ y=x+15\ldots\text{.}\mathrm{}(ii) \\ \text{Let's substitute for y in equation (i)} \\ \\ (1)/(2)x+6(x+15)=12 \\ To\text{clear the fraction by multiplying all through by } \\ x+2*6(x+15)=12*2 \\ x+12(x+15)=24 \\ \text{open the bracket, by multplying by 12} \\ x+12x+180=24 \\ 13x+180=24 \\ \text{collect the like terms} \\ 13x=24-180 \\ 13x=-156 \\ \text{Divide both sides by 13} \\ (13x)/(13)=(-156)/(13) \\ x=\text{ -12} \end{gathered}

TO FIND Y

Substitute for x in Equation (ii)

y=x+15

y=-12+15

y=3

THE FINAL ANSWER
