100% of the light reaches the object and we have data that 35% of that light is reflected and 15% is transmitted. Therefore we can calculate the percentage of absorbed light as follows.


\begin{gathered} L=100\text{ \%-35\%-15\%} \\ L=50\text{ \%} \end{gathered}

The object absorbs a total of 50% of the light.
