We are given the following expression

13+((5)/(9)-(4)/(9))

Since the denominator of the fractions are the same, we can simply subtract the numerators as

\begin{gathered} 13+((5)/(9)-(4)/(9)) \\ 13+((5-4)/(9)) \\ 13+(1)/(9) \end{gathered}

Finally, add them together

\begin{gathered} 13+(1)/(9) \\ (9\cdot13+1)/(9) \\ (117+1)/(9) \\ (118)/(9) \end{gathered}

Therefore, the simplified expression is 118/9

13+((5)/(9)-(4)/(9))=(118)/(9)
