How can i multiply variables

Answer:

Variables are multiplied by multiplying the coefficients and also the variable, following certain rules.

Examples:

1. For different variables, multiply the coefficients and join the variables


\begin{gathered} 5a*2b \\ =5*2* a* b \\ =10ab \end{gathered}

2. For similar variables, multiply coefficients, and add the indexes of veriables


\begin{gathered} 3y*4y \\ =3*4* y* y \\ =12y^2 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} y^3* y^5 \\ =y^(3+5) \\ =y^8 \end{gathered}
