The given function for the temperature of the kiln is t = 2s. Graphing this function where s is the input (domain) and t as the output (range) gives us:

Since there is no negative time in s seconds. We start our input in 0 seconds up until it is turned off after 50 seconds, so the domain of the function is. [0,50].

The lowest point of the graph is t = 0, and the highest point, is at t = 100. This is the range of the graph, so the range of the function is [0,100]

By the time you turn off the kiln, 50 seconds has passed which means s = 50. Solving it using the given function yields
