suppose that you are on a desert island and possess exactly 20 coconuts your neighbor Friday is a fisherman and he is willing to trade 2 fish for every 1 coconut you're willing to give her your neighbor Kwame is also a fisherman and he is willing to trade three fish for every 1 coconut

Find two points on the graph for each fisherman to be able to draw a line between those two points.

Notice that both fishermen would trade 0 fish for 0 coconuts.

On the other hand, Friday would trade 20 fish for 10 coconuts, while Kwame would trade 30 fish for 10 coconuts. Since fish are represented on the horizontal axis and coconuts are represented on the vertical axis, draw a line from the point (0,0) to (20,10) for Friday, and a line through (0,0) and (30,10) for Kwame.
