We are given (256 x 64)^1/4

This can be express as follows

(256x64)^{(1)/(4)}

256 can be express as 2^8

256 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

64 can be express as 2^6

64 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2

The new expression becomes

\begin{gathered} (2^8\cdot2^6)^{(1)/(4)} \\ (2^{8\text{ x }(1)/(4)}\cdot2^{6\text{ x }(1)/(4)}) \\ (2^2\cdot2^{(3)/(2)}) \end{gathered}
