the volume of the composite figure is equal to the volume of a cone plus the volume of a cylinder

so

step 1

Find the volume of a cone


V=(1)/(3)\cdot\pi\cdot r^2\cdot h

we have

r=3 ft

h=(6-3)=3 ft

pi=3.14

substitute


\begin{gathered} V=(1)/(3)\cdot3.14\cdot3^2\cdot3 \\ V=28.26\text{ ft3} \end{gathered}

step 2

Find the volume of cylinder


V=\pi\cdot r^2\cdot h

we have

r=3 ft

h=3 ft

pi=3.14

substitute


\begin{gathered} V=3.14\cdot3^2\cdot3 \\ V=84.78\text{ ft3} \end{gathered}

step 3

the total volume is

V=28.26+84.78=113.04 ft3
