There are 5 lilies for every 3 daisies. To find how many daisies are if there are 10 Lillies, we can use the next proportion:

\frac{5\text{ lilies}}{10\text{ lilies}}=\frac{3\text{ daisies}}{x\text{daisies}}

Solving for x:

\begin{gathered} 5\cdot x=3\cdot10 \\ x=(30)/(5) \\ x=6\text{ daisies} \end{gathered}

Then, there are 10 Lilies and 6 Daisies, which make a total of 10 + 6 = 16 flowers
