Solve the following equation: 2(3y-4)=10

2(3y - 4) = 10

so, multiply 2

so, 2*3y - 2 * 4 = 10

6y - 8 = 10

add 8 to both terms

so,

6y - 8 + 8 = 10 + 8

combine like terms

6y = 18

divide both sides by 6

so,

6y/6 = 18/6

y = 3

so, the solving of the equation is y = 3
