Part 1

Let

x -----> the packages

y -----> the number of sheet of paper

we have the ordered pairs

(1,50) (2,100) (3,150) (4,200)

Find the slope

To find the slope we need two points

I take (1,50) (2,100)

substitute in the formula of slope

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m=100-50)/(2-1)

m=50/1

m=50

The slope means ------> 50 sheet of paper per one package (unit rate)

Using a graphing tool

graph the line

see the attached figure

Part 2

Let

x ------> number of tickets

y ------> the cost

we have the ordered pairs

(5,40) (10,80) (20,160) (25,200)

Find the slope

To find the slope we need two points

I take (5,40) (10,80)

m=(80-40)/(10-5)

m=40/5

m=8

The slope means -------> the cost of one ticket is $8

Using a graphing tool

graph the line

see the attached figure
