Slope and rate of change:

To find the slope you use two points (x,y) on the line.

If each square is 1unit

You can use points (0, -2) and (2, -1)

Use the formula:

m=((y_2-y_1))/((x_2-x_1))

For the given line:

m=(-1-(-2))/(2-0)=(-1+2)/(2)=(1)/(2)Then, the slope is 1/2The rate of change is the slopeRate of change 1/2--------------------

y-intercept

The y-intercept is the point where the line cross the y-axis.

For the given line the y-intercept is y= - 2, coordinates (0, -2)

----------------------------------------

Zero and x-intercept

The zero is the value of x when y=0.

The x-intercepts is the point where the line cross the x-axis. y=0

Then, the zero is f(0)=4The x-intercept is x=4, coordinates (4, 0)
