To calculate the slope m of the line that passes through two points

\begin{gathered} A(x_1,y_1) \\ B(x_2,y_2) \end{gathered}

Using the formula

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Let's use this with the points

\begin{gathered} A(-20,-4) \\ B(-12,-10) \end{gathered}

This way,

\begin{gathered} m=(-10-(-4))/(-12-(-20))\rightarrow m=(-10+4)/(-12+20)\rightarrow m=(-6)/(8) \\ \rightarrow m=-(3)/(4) \end{gathered}
