The formula for find the coordinates of a point that divided the line in a ratio m:n are given by

where (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) are the coordinates of the two points

(x1,y1) is (-3,-4) is

(x2,y2) is ( 5,0)

m is 2 and n is 3

In decimal form

(.2, -2.4)
