320 racers started the marathon.

290 completed the race

18 gave up

12 were disqualified.

Therefore:

320 - 290= 30 didn't complete the marathon

If 320 -100%

then 30- x

\begin{gathered} x=(\lparen30\rparen\lparen100\rparen)/(320) \\ \\ x=\text{ }(3000)/(320) \\ \\ x=\text{ 9,375\%} \end{gathered}

Therefore, 9,375% of the racers didn't complete the marathon.
