Given:

diameter = 50 cm

To find the circumference, use the formula:

C=2\pi\text{ r}

Where

radius, r = diameter/2

Thus:

r=(50)/(2)=25\text{ cm}

Therefore, we have:

C=2\pi(25)\text{ = }157.08\text{ cm}

The closest to it's circumference is 157 cm.

Question 2:

a) Distance around a circle is called the circumference

b) The total number of equally-sized tiles on a circular floor: Here you need to find the Area

c) The amount of oil it takes to cover the bottom of a frying pan: Here you need to calculate the Area of the circle(considering the frying pan has a circular shape).

d) The distance your car will go with one rotation of the wheels: The Circumference needs to be calculated here.

ANSWER:

1) 157 cm

Question 2:

a) Circunference

b) Area

c) Area

d) Circumference
