A' (4/3, 4)

B' (16/3, -4)

C' (-8/3, 0)

1) Firstly, we need to locate the coordinates of that triangle:

A (2,6)

B (8,-6)

C (-4,0)

2) Since it is going to be dilated around the origin, then we need to apply the scale factor (2/3) to that pre-image, to get a smaller triangle since 2/3 < 1

2.2) So we can write out the following

Pre-image Dilation k = 2/3 Image

A (2,6) A' (4/3, 4)

B (8,-6) B' (16/3, -4)

C (-4,0) C' (-8/3, 0)

And that is the answer
