lets solve the equation!

\begin{gathered} 2(x+4)=4(x+2) \\ x+4=(4)/(2)(x+2) \\ x+4=2(x+2) \\ x+4=2x+4 \\ 4-4=2x-x \\ x=0 \\ \\ \text{Thus there is only ONE solution, and it is x=0} \end{gathered}
