a green bottle of water holds 8 3/5 oz of water a Blue bottle holds 8 6/7 oz of water right and inequality that compares the fractions and explain which bottle holds more.

As given by the question

There are given that the value:


\begin{gathered} \text{Green bottle: 8}(3)/(5)=(43)/(5) \\ \text{Blue bottle: 8}(6)/(7)=(62)/(7) \end{gathered}

Now,

We can write both color of bottle:

For the green bottle:


\begin{gathered} (43)/(5)=(43)/(5)*(7)/(7) \\ =(301)/(35)\ldots(1) \end{gathered}

And,

For the blue bottle:


\begin{gathered} (62)/(7)=(62)/(7)*(5)/(5) \\ =(310)/(35)\ldots(2) \end{gathered}

Then,

Copare the value of both of the bottle:

So,


\begin{gathered} (301)/(35)<(310)/(35) \\ 301<310 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is the blue bottle will hold more.
