Kaitlyn's money =$156.50

Nike's cost = $209

We have to write an equation:

The cost of the Nikes (209) multiplied by the percentage(x) in decimal form (divided by 100) must be equal to the money available (209)

209 x = 156.50

x = 156.50/209

x= 0.75

0.75 x 100 =75%

1- 75 = 25%

Percent discount= 25%
