Since the area of a rectangle is given by the product of the length and its width:

A=w* l

And we know that A=144 and w=9, then:

144=9l

Divide both sides by 9 to find the value of the length:

\begin{gathered} l=(144)/(9) \\ l=16 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the length of the rectangle is:

16in
