The first thing to remember is what is an even number? An even number is a number ended by 0,2,4 or 8. So we can eliminate the answer D and the answer A (35 and 33 are not even numbers).

The next step is verifying the second condition: the sum of the smaller number and twice the greater number is 100. What does it mean? It means for every pair in B and C that (respectively)


32+2(34)=100
34+2(36)=100

As you said well the true equation is the first. Then, the answer is B.
