Owners of a recreation area are filling a small pond with water. They are adding water at a rate of 29 liters per minute. There are 700 liters in the pond to start.Let W represent the total amount of water in the pond (in liters), and let T represent the total number of minutes that water has been added. Write an equationrelating W to T. Then use this equation to find the total amount of water after 17 minutes.Equation:х5?Total amount of water after 17 minutes: liters

Answer

at 17minutes the total amount of water in the pool is 1, 193 liters

Let W represent the total amount of water

Let T represent the time in minutes

The total amount of water = Initial liters of water in the pool + rate of water added x time

W = 700 + 29 x t

W = 700 + 29 x T

W = 700 + 29T

The equation is W = 700 + 29T

T = 17 minutes

W = 700 + 29(17)

W = 700 + 493

W = 700 + 493

W = 1,193 liters

Therefore, at 17minutes the total amount of water in the pool is 1, 193 liters
