Solve the system of equations

-2x + y = 0

10x + 7y = 48

Since the first equation is equal to 0, it's easier to solve it for y and substitute in the second equation:

y = 2x

Substituting in the second equation:

10x + 7(2x) = 48

Operating:

10x + 14x = 48

Joining like terms:

24x = 48

Dividing by 24:

x = 48/24

x = 2

Now since y = 2x,

y = 2*2 = 4

y = 4

Solution: x=2, y=4
